After an initial consultation, each 121 session will be tailored to suit your needs and requirements to help you and your dog achieve your objective in a fun and relaxed environment.

My 121 dog training sessions are perfect if you need help and support on achieving success on a specific behaviour or have a specific goal in mind.

My expert dog training sessions can be booked on a one off basis or in a block, depending on your requirements .

You can expect each dog training session to last roughly 55 minutes. During the initial consultation I will aim to obtain a full history and discuss your requirements, before we move onto the practical work. By observing your dog, I will be able to create a report on existing behaviour and then create a bespoke training programme to work on any highlighted issues. All treats are included!

I am happy to offer email and phone support until we meet again at our next session too.

Bringing your new puppy home is a really amazing and exciting time but it can also be daunting…I know because I’ve been there!

  Kirby as a little puppy

Kirby as a little puppy

There are key puppy developmental milestones that are crucial to hit during very early puppyhood.

Ensuring you socialise and habituate your puppy as early as possible in this crucial time of development is probably one of the most important things you can do to ensure you have an obedient and happy life long friend. It's vital to start training as early as possible; as soon as you get your puppy or at 8 weeks is ideal.

I can show you how to work on all the basics of puppy training, laying the foundations for a long happy and fulfilled life together.

If you already have your puppy, I can help you with things like:

  • Toilet training

  • No chewing

  • No biting

  • Mouthing

  • Positions: Sit, Down, Stand

  • Recall to name

  • Crate training

  • Loose-leash walking

  • Not jumping up

  • Counter-surfing

  • Excessive barking

  • Settling

  • Many more

If you do not have your puppy yet, I would strongly suggest my pre-puppy batch of sessions:

x5 hours. I spend x2 hours with you before you get your puppy to go over things like:

  • Picking up your puppy from the breeder

  • Sleeping arrangements

  • House training

  • Crate training

  • Setting up your puppy for success

  • Introducing the puppy to other pets

  • Toys and Games

  • Essential equipment

  • Socialisation/ habituation

  • Training methods

  • How to manage children and your puppy

  • Avoiding problems later in life

  • How to deal with play biting/ mouthing

  • Any other issues you want to address

Then once you have your new puppy, we would spend x3 hours going over things like:

  • Come when called

  • Sit, lie down, stand on command

  • Walk on a loose lead without pulling

  • Accept handling (including for vets and groomers)

  • Wait

  • 'Settle'

  • 'Leave' when asked

  • Accept people near to food bowls, bones and chew

  • Stop play biting

  • Be sociable with humans, children, and other puppies

  • Greet people without jumping up

The aim is to have a happy, well rounded puppy who knows not to jump at visitors, walks nicely on the leash and recalls to their name and the earlier we start the better, so do get in touch.
